    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • ¾ tsp salt
    • ¼ tsp allspice
    • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
    • ¾ tsp fresh thyme leaves
    • 1 apple, I used a honey crisp
    • 1 carton broth
    • 6 ounces apple juice
    • ½ cup organic half and half [1/2 milk and 1/2 cream organic farming product]
    • Parmesan, for garnish (optional)
